Encouraged!
Be encouraged my beautiful sisters - for this is a day that the LORD has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!! I will rejoice - have joy again - choose to think joy-filled thoughts - realizing that the JOY of the LORD is my strength!!!
I challenge you ladies to:
1. Monitor your thoughts - even right
now - this very moment. :
2. If your thoughts are good, I am glad and encourage you to continue thinking
those great thoughts; however, if you are not feeling good, monitor your
thoughts.
Are you thinking of all the blessings
God is showering on you - even as you are reading this column? Just in case
you are not, I urge you to meditate on this…
" Thank God that you can see (as you can see this).
" Thank God that you can read (as you are surely reading these words).
" Thank God you can breathe; you are alive!
" Thank God you have access to a computer (since you are accessing
this website and e-column).
" Thank God you have the activity of your limbs and have a reasonable
amount of health.
" Thank God you are in your right mind and that you can choose to focus
on that which interests you.
Now - Think on a time when you were ecstatic! … the happiest you can remember!!
My mind takes me to the intimate, peace-filled time I was in the Bahamas. … colorful fish and strong loving arms under me - relaxed, breathing in clean air and not stressing over anything. I can hear the water, feel the warmth of the sun and the comfort of knowing I am loved by GOD.
I took you there with me in hopes that you, too, felt the good feelings I felt from simply going "there" in my mind. It is easy. It is a choice. In spite of what is going on in your life, you hold the power in your mind, in your mouth and in your actions. No one can make you "feel" bad. No one can make you do anything without your agreement. Choose to believe and grow in God. Learn of His promises (some are Isaiah 54:17, Romans 8, Psalm 118 and John 16:33).
Today I challenge you to walk in the power God has given you in the ability to CHOOSE - Choose life, choose peace, choose health and choose love.
